In warmer weather or warmer climates we need to exfoliate more often because sweat acts like glue holding down all the dead skin cells, making them harder to leave your face, making the skin look dull. Sometimes those old cells stick around longer then they should. Removing dead skin cells help create healthy, smooth, supple skin. Exfoliation assist the renewing and replenishing process of new skin. A lot of us push this step aside but it will make a glowing difference on your skin.
Oily or combination skin can exfoliate 4 to 5 times a week, dry or sensitive skin can exfoliate 1 or 2 times a week.
There are some gentle scrubs you can create at home using baking soda, powered milk, oatmeal, and honey. Here are a few of my favorite recipes for a scrub:
1/2 t. baking soda, 1 pump of Eufora’s Beautifying Serum, 1 pea size Eufora’s Pure Cleanse Shampoo. Mix together making a paste. After you cleanse your skin apply scrub to damp skin and in a circular motion. Not much pressure is needed, let the scrub do it’s job with gentle pressure. Splash with warm water and apply moisturizer. Enjoy the silky feel.
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. ground oats, 3 T. oil of your choice (sunflower, jojoba, sweet almond, grapeseed), 2 T. honey,2 T. vegetable glycerin, 3-4 vitamin E capsules (opened and squeezed). Gently massage onto skin. Rinse with warm water. Pat dry.
Make sure to date your product and use within 1 month.
